Parish Council Update

We wanted to take a moment and provide an update from the Parish Council.   First we would like to thank Don Parrish for his service as the Parish Council President and Andy Buchl for his service as the VP of the Council for the last year.   The new Parish Council President is Michele Australie (Casey).  Kim Barrett and Corrinne Candela will serve as Co Vice Presidents.

Over the past few months, the Parish Council has been working on some pertinent issues.  In the next few weeks, you should be seeing the installation of two new signs at the Church.  The first one will be installed at the front entrance.  The second will come later and will be a digital sign that we can use to announce key events throughout the year.

We are currently looking at possible solutions to upgrade  the sound system both in the Church and in the parish hall.  Final decisions will be dependent on costs and feasibility.  Other improvements that will be underway this year will include repair to the bases of the Stations of the Cross and a Rosary Garden.

The Council meets on the 4th Monday of every month and we serve as a consultative body to Father Barnabas regarding parish life and the mission of the Church.  The minutes of our meetings are posted in the Hall if you have an interest in reading them or you can ask one of the Parish council members for a copy.  If you have questions or suggestions please feel free to contact any of the Parish Council members. (Their names are listed on the front of the weekly Bulletin).
